Josephine Chiang Former Head Organizer, Los Angeles Just over two decades ago, Minnie Mouse gave birth to Josephine in Anaheim Hills, California. After growing up around "the happiest place on earth" for 14 years, she was caught off guard when her parents told her their family was relocating to Asia. So at 14, Josephine was whisked away to the wondrous land of Hong Kong, where the LA girl suffered a severe case of culture shock. Thankfully, that condition lasted only a couple of months and she soon learned to love, shop, and live it up in Hong Kong, holding her own against the humidity and the teeming masses. After graduating from Hong Kong International School, Josephine attended the University of California, Los Angeles, and was actively involved in the Association of Chinese Americans, Asian Professional Exchange, and Asian American Tutorial Project. Upon graduation, she accepted a job in Northern California at an investment company only to revoke the offer a day later in order to accept an opportunity to live in China for a year and teach English. This was soon followed by a six month contract position at Microsoft Shanghai as a Communication Specialist. A year and a half in Shanghai took its toll on Josephine, and she moved to Hong Kong in early 2003 to work as a Marketing Officer at Nortel Networks. However, when SARS hit, she also hit --the road, that is-- back to the US, N95 mask on face and anti-bacterial lotion in hand. Currently, Josephine resides in Southern California and does financial planning at AIG. She enjoys working (but not at her job), workin' it (a la Missy Elliot), and traveling all around the world.
