Gloria is a third generation Chinese-American and Portland native. She attended Portland State University and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. Upon graduation, she moved to Yamagata, Japan for two years and participated in the Japan Exchange & Teaching Program.

Gloria took her first international business position in 1999, at a Portland based global supply chain management company. Her first project launched her career in the packaging industry by qualifying manufacturing vendors throughout Asia for global footwear packaging production.

Her most memorable business trip to China was when she was able to visit her Chinese ancestor's village in Kaiping, Guangdong.

In 2002, Gloria helped start POP-Direct, a global packaging solutions company specializing in one-stop-shop design and global procurement. At POP-Direct, she developed accounts with many international consumer product companies. In the fall of 2005, Gloria won the Ladies Who Launch - Women's Business Idol Contest for her business plan to start a Chinese themed Bed & Breakfast that features Oregon's rich Chinese-American history. She continues to work with her local community to preserve and honor Oregon's Chinese-American culture and history.

In 2006, Gloria was hired by an award-winning logistics company called OIA Global to launch their creative packaging division. Today, OIA Global is a global leader in logistics, packaging design and procurement. Her specialty is working with global brands to develop creative packaging designs and develop procurement and supply-chain strategies to reduce the impact of packaging usage on the environment.

In her free time, Gloria enjoys cooking, salsa dancing, red wine, mushroom hunting, crabbing, travel and spending time with her husband, friends, family and her dog Bibi.

Gloria speaks Cantonese, Japanese and has studies in Mandarin.
