Cathleen was born and raised in Texas and attended the University of Texas at Austin. There she earned a B.S. in Advertising and has done a good job of avoiding the field all together.

After school, she worked for American Airlines for two years doing agency and corporate sales. During that time, she found herself in San Francisco, the best city in the world. Also, she left AA to pursue a career in internet marketing. That only lasted about a year and a half.

After three years in the best city in the world, she decided to take some time off and study Chinese in Beijing. She spent one semester at the Beijing Language and Culture School. She would have spent another semester there but decided to make some money instead.

Cathleen can now be heard live every morning on 91.5 FM Real Time Beijing.
