Alwyn Lee
Organizer, Macau

Born in Hong Kong, Alwyn has been living around Asia since three months old as an ex-pat kid, first in Bangkok, and then Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Hong Kong in between.

In 1986 Alwyn left his family for the first time for Wales in UK where he learned to appreciate rugby and the Bracken Beacons. After receiving his undergraduate degree in Psychology, Alwyn began to work for Cable & Wireless in London as a Commercial Consultant where he honed his skills in project management and customer service.

How about off duty? Well... apart from the odd round of golf, Alwyn fulfilled his restaurant friends' requests for him to help out at their establishment (legacy from the student days) where he also absorbed his culinary skills and F&B knowledge. By introduction of a stuntman friend in London, Alywn took part in the Tony Scott film "Spy Game" as a contract stunt crew filming in Hungry and Morocco. Subsequently he also took part in the "007" movie "Tomorrow Never Dies" at Pinewood Studio. The filming experience opened his eyes to the entertainment industry in both the artistic/visual and the organization/management aspect of a production, which later influenced his career choice.

In 2002 Alwyn accepted an offer by his employer (then) to relocate to the C&W Hong Kong office where also gets to reunite with his family after sixteen years in UK. In 2003 he grabbed an opportunity to change his course in career and worked as an event manager at a local advertising firm, where he organized brand events parties and rubbed shoulders with socialites, celebrities and stars.

In 2005 Alwyn began his lady’s fashion accessories retail business with his Macanese fiancé in Macau. He now lives in Macau and spends his time between his shop and his freelance event consultancy work. He heard about ORIENTED.COM through his event work in Macau and got involved in early 2007.
